Custodian accused of selling drugs at a Clay County High School

Clay County, Fla. — A Middleburg High School custodian was arrested for selling drugs Friday as students were going through orientation.

According to the clay county sheriff’s office, 30-year-old Kristen Howard sold suboxone to an undercover detective in the school parking lot on Wednesday.

In a picture taken by Clay County deputies, you can see a paper clip box with a total of twenty pills next to it.

Deputies say an undercover detective arranged to meet Howard in the parking lot and paid her two hundred dollars in exchange for 20 pills.

According to court records, Howard will appear before a judge on Saturday.

Action News Jax reached out to the Clay County School District moments after Howard’s arrest to learn if she is still employed with the school district. We’re still waiting to hear back.
