Weapons found in student’s car at Clay High School, police say

GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. — The Clay County District Schools Police Department said they found weapons in a student’s car in the Clay High School parking lot.

According to police, they were alerted by an anonymous tip that a student’s car on campus may have weapons inside.

Police then immediately investigated and found an Airsoft replica weapon, a knife, and a taser.

There was no threat towards the school or any students at any time, according to police.

The student is cooperating with authorities, and police are continuing to investigate the incident.

The district said the student will be disciplined as outlined in the Code of Student Conduct, and could possibly face charges for bringing weapons onto school property.
