Clay deputies seize 325 grams of meth in Middleburg bust

MIDDLEBURG, Fla. — More than 300 grams of meth was taken off the streets during a drug bust in Middleburg on Thursday.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office raided 60-year-old Keith Williams' home on C.R. 218.

He was arrested on several drug charges, including trafficking.

The Sheriff's Office said this was an ongoing investigation into Williams operating a drug house, as well as the sale and delivery of meth in the community.

Deputies said they found 325 grams of meth inside the home.

Action News Jax stopped by the property and was threatened by a woman with a metal bat.

A deputy was called in an attempt to deescalate the situation and notified the family that the news crews were on public property and had every right to be there.

Out of safety, we left the scene.

Williams is due in court Friday where a judge will set his bond.

Action News Jax spoke to neighbors who said meth was a growing problem in the community.

A woman, who didn't want to be identified, described C.R. 218 a "drug corridor."

She said there are a lot of drug busts in the area, but she would like to see more deputies on patrol.
