Jacksonville, Fl — This morning we are tracking increasing clouds from west to east. Temperatures are in the 50s inland and 60s closer to the coast. Highs today will reach the mid to upper 70s. A few showers will move in through the day. However, significant rainfall totals are not in the forecast.
“Better chances in southern parts of the listening area. So near I-10, pretty hit and miss. You get near and south of Highway 16, southern Clay, central and southern St. Johns Counties, you do have a better shot at measurable rainfall”, said Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh.
Mike is tracking a return to sunshine and pleasant temperatures on Wednesday. Highs will make it to the lower 80s before a dry cold front sweeps through during the evening hours.
Thursday and Friday will both be sunny and mild in the lower to mid 70s in the afternoon.
A few afternoon showers and possibly a thunderstorm pop back into the forecast by Saturday afternoon.
