3 hurt in hit-and-run crash on Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police say all southbound lanes of Old Middleburg Road at Memorial Park Road are shut down due to a hit-and-run crash with injuries.

The scene is just blocks from Ed White High School on the Westside.

Police said a car with three men inside crashed into a car at Lane and Lenox Avenues.

Police said a man got out of his car to exchange information with the three other men when they sped away.

Police said the three men lost control of their car at Memorial Park Road and Old Middleburg Road.

The car flipped and broke apart.

"It's a scene straight out of a movie, wreckage that's hard to comprehend," said Donna Taylor, a neighbor.

All 3 passengers went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Charges against them are pending.
