LATEST: Husband dead, wife critical after attempted murder-suicide in Vilano Beach
St. Johns County Sheriff's Office responded to an attempted murder-suicide involving a husband and a wife in the Vilano Beach area.
The SJSO is on scene at a double shooting in Vilano Beach (Jerez Ct). At this time, one subject is deceased, and a second subject taken to a hospital. All indications are this is an isolated incident related to this the specific residence, and no suspect is being sought. pic.twitter.com/6IsW892Aky

According to deputies, the husband was the shooter.

SJSO says the husband is deceased from a gunshot wound and the wife was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
SJSO said the incident is isolated and no suspect is being sought.
