Deputies: Drug house raid takes numerous drugs, stolen weapon off streets in Clay County

"You has options:" A look at crime

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said it served a search warrant at 3980 Scenic Drive in Middleburg.

The warrant was a result of an investigation into the occupant of the residence Christopher Jeffers, on suspicion of operating a drug dwelling.

The department’s SWAT team, Street Crime, and Organized Crime units went to the house early Wednesday morning.

Deputies said they confiscated methamphetamine, MDMA (Ecstasy), numerous other drug paraphernalia and a stolen handgun.

Officers left their signature mark on a boarded-up window reading, “YOU HAD OPTIONS,” with a coffee cup underneath.

“We knew it was a drug house -- with the traffic that was going through it," a nearby neighbor said. "There was traffic there in and out, in and out, in and out. It’s driving, pick up something and drive off.”
