Deputies: 1 killed, 5 arrested after triple shooting in Baker County

A man was killed and five people were arrested after shots were fired during a home invasion in Baker County, deputies said.

Seven people forced their way into a home on County Road 125 early Sunday morning, according to a Baker County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

Deputies said 24-year-old William Lauramore, 20-year-old Zachary Bell, 24-year-old Joseph Albino, 19-year-old Christian Watkins, 18-year-old Cory Lauramore and two juveniles went to the home with the intent to confront the occupants over an ongoing feud.

Deputies said they were armed with firearms and wore masks and other clothing to hide their identity.

The four people inside the house told deputies they woke up to loud noises and yelling. They realized they were being threatened, armed themselves and exchanged gunfire with the suspects, deputies said.

Three of the suspects were shot multiple times, deputies said.

Cory Lauramore, 18, was pronounced dead.

An unidentified juvenile is being treated at UF Health Jacksonville.

William Lauramore was treated and released to the custody of law enforcement, according to officials.

William Lauramore, Christian Watkins and Joseph Albino are charged with home invasion, deputies said.

William Lauramore is in custody in Duval County and will be transported to the Baker County Detention Center Monday, deputies said.

The Baker County Sheriff’s Office is investigating circumstances that led to the shooting.

It was fueled by derogatory and threatening rhetoric between the two groups on social media, the sheriff's office said.

FDLE helped process the crime scene.
