ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. - MORE: St. Johns County deputies looking for road rage suspect

St. Johns County deputies are looking for a man accused of pulling a knife on a driver.

Traffic can make anyone angry. But deputies in St. Johns County say it led to a confrontation involving a knife.

“Pretty scary, dangerous to be out there sometimes,” said Jennifer Guard who had a memorable ride for all the wrong reasons.

She said a man in a red Jeep Grand Cherokee got out on Dobbs Road and pulled out a knife, slashed a tire and then started chasing the driver around the SUV.

“Running, running for his life,” she said.

According to the report, two men in a SUV pulled over because traffic was backed up, and when they tried to get back onto the road, they were stopped by a man in a red SUV who pulled out a knife around 9 inches long.

Just a few days ago, deputies say a man pulled out an AR-15 and pointed it at a father who was on his way to the beach with his family.

Deputies arrested Britt Meyer, 56, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

“People who have anger like this can just get some help,” said Guard.

The victims told police they weren’t able to get the license plate because it was bent.
