Detectives looking at Craigslist ad for child care possibly made by Taylor Williams' mother

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Detectives are looking into a Craigslist ad that may have been posted by Brianna Williams the day before reporting her daughter, Taylor, was missing.

The poster of the ad states "childcare needed tomorrow" because they were "bailed on."

Brianna Williams’ name is not anywhere on it, but the poster mentions having a 5-year-old daughter, working at NAS Jacksonville, and living on the Northside.

JSO said Williams had just moved there from the Southside.  They said she reported her daughter missing from the home on Ivy Street Wednesday morning.

JSO Sheriff Mike Williams discussed this post during a news conference Thursday.

“We’re looking into all of that and trying to corroborate that,” Williams said.

JSO added they’re vetting the now-deleted post but have no information on if it’s tied to the Williams case at this time.

Action News Jax Law and Safety Expert Dale Carson said he has seen suspects use methods like this to cover their tracks.

“You put in an ad for day care, so people immediately assume, ‘Well you’re not guilty of anything,” Carson said.

“That argues that the child was here,” he added. “Why else would you put an ad in the paper for a day care if the child was no longer among the living?  You wouldn’t do that, unless you’re intending to deceive people.”

Now that police have said Brianna Williams is no longer cooperating, Action News Jax followed up with the woman who said she helped her move just days ago.

Tiffani Nicole said Taylor was nowhere to be found that day.

She remembers talking with Williams about the move.

“She was like, ‘This isn’t something I really wanted to do.  I just have to do it,” Nicole said.

JSO has not named Brianna Williams a suspect or person of interest.

As of Friday night, Crime Stoppers said 16 tips have come in on the Taylor Williams case, while JSO has received more than 100.
