Diaper banks ask for donations as diaper prices begin to rise

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Bad news for parents with young children: the cost of diapers is about to go up.

Major companies behind popular brands like Huggies, Pampers and Luvs say they’ll be starting to raise prices in June.

They cite an increase in the cost of raw materials used to make diapers for the increase in price.

The National Diaper Bank Network has reported that one in three American families struggled to buy diapers before the pandemic.

And the need has only grown.

As a result, diaper banks across the country have reported an increase in demand.

The Diaper Bank of Northeast Florida is one of the many diaper banks accepting donations to wipe out diaper need.
