JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 12-year-old girl is recovering at home after she was hit by a car while walking home from school.
The crash happened on 103rd St. between Connie Jean Rd. and Monroe Smith Rd.
Katelinn Taylor said she’s in pain, but realizes it could’ve been much worse. Her right arm is in a sling because she fractured her collarbone.
John Taylor, Katelinn’s father, said he was home when he got the call that his daughter had been hit by a car. Fighting back tears, he said he was expecting the worse. He said it’s a miracle she wasn’t hurt worse.
