Honoring Down Syndrome Awareness month in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Acosta Bridge in downtown Jacksonville will be lit up in blue and yellow this weekend to honor Down Syndrome Awareness month.

The Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville (DSAJ) said the annual Buddy Walk event, which helps the organization raise funds for local families who have loved ones with Down syndrome, will still go on as planned, but in a new format, to ensure safety amid the coronavirus pandemic.

If you would like to register for the Oct. 17 event or donate to the cause, visit: dsaj.donordrive.com.
