Dr. Saumil Oza recommends everyone wear masks in public

Jacksonville, Fla. — Action News Jax anchor John Bachman interviewed Dr. Saumil Oza, chief of cardiology with St. Vincent’s and Ascension Medical Group.

He and other health professionals are now recommending that everyone wear masks in public.

Dr. Oza said that early on there was a concern people would rush out and buy surgical masks, depleting the supply for health care workers. Now the concern is that masks would create a false sense of security.
