Jacksonville mayor announces expanded rapid COVID-19 testing access for all Duval County students

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Mayor Lenny Curry held a news conference Monday to discuss Jacksonville’s latest COVID-19 data and announced expanded rapid testing access for all students in Duval County.

The City of Jacksonville and Duval County Public Schools have partnered with Logistics Health to open four student express lanes at the below-testing sites.

  • Oceanway Senior Center, 12215 W. Sago Ave.
  • Lane Wiley Senior Center, 6710 Wiley Road
  • Leroy D. Clemons Senior Center, 55 Jackson Ave N.
  • Mandarin Senior Center, 3848 Hartley Road

The lanes will be open Mondays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Each location can administer 192 tests per day and provide results in two days.

Testing at those locations will be available to all Jacksonville students enrolled in public, charter and private schools for free.

Students will need to provide a verification letter from their school and a parent/guardian must accompany the student to provide permission for the test.
