Jacksonville police investigating bank robbery in Regency, search for suspect ongoing

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update 4:47 p.m.: According to a JSO press briefing a suspect entered the Truist Bank at 300 Monument Rd. at around 2 p.m.

A woman described to be in her early to mid 30s, around 5-foot-6 inches to 5-foot-8 inches, wearing all black cloths, a blue surgical mask covering part of her face and a “poofy” bun or ponytail slipped one of the bank tellers a note demanding money.

The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot.

JSO says that no weapon was displayed or seen in the bank and that no injuries occurred.

This is an ongoing investigation and police are speaking with witnesses to gather more information.
