Deadly crash on Normandy Blvd. shuts down SB traffic on US 301

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — At least one person is dead after a crash on Normandy Boulevard at Highway 301, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

JFRD initially said that one person was trapped following the crash.

About 20 minutes later, the department confirmed that the crash was “fatal” and that drivers should expect delays in the area.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said all southbound lanes of US 301 South are blocked just south of Normandy Boulevard.
