New Hilton hotel to be built at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Patients from all over travel to Jacksonville to receive medical treatment at Mayo Clinic, a hospital ranked number one in the nation.

To offer patients and their visitors a premier hospitality experience, a new Hilton hotel will be built at the hospital.

The eight-story hotel will have 252 guest rooms, a fitness center, an on-site restaurant with room service and an outdoor pool.

It will also have ballrooms to be used as meeting spaces.

Construction on the 179,000-square-foot hotel is expected to begin in the summer of 2022, with completion slated for 2024.

The project will cost $70 million.

Once construction is completed, the hotel plans to hire 85 full-time and 40 part-time employees.
