Police investigating double shooting in downtown Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is working to learn what led to a double shooting in downtown Jacksonville on Friday.

Officers responded to the 700 block of East Union Street near Palmetto Street just before 7 a.m. and found two men that had been shot.

Both were taken to a nearby hospital. JSO said one man is in critical condition, the other is expected to be OK.

Detectives are interviewing people in the area to learn more information.

At this time, police have no information regarding a suspect, but they believe the shooting was an isolated incident.
