JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update Jan. 14 5:30 p.m.: A neighbor living in the Riverside community reached out to Action News Jax after seeing covering of packages being stolen. They said their package was swiped as well.
The victim said off camera they filled out a report with police.
Original story: People in the Riverside community say a porch pirate is terrorizing their neighborhood and swiping their packages.
Videos from homeowners show a young man walk up and take packages before running off and leaving on a bike.
Terrance Jackson said a textbook was stolen from his front door.
“A rental textbook off of Amazon, probably about a $60 purchase.” Jackson said.

Jackson said he found the textbook a nearby stash of opened Amazon boxes.
Several people in the neighborhood said the same thing happened to them.
According to JSO crime map, in a one mile radius of where these thefts happened, there were 63 theft-related crimes reported in the last month.
Action News Jax reached out to JSO about the thefts, but has not heard back.
