School bus involved in crash on I-295 N in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of a pickup truck lost control while going around a curved ramp on US-17 onto I-295, hitting the side of the school bus. A spokesperson with Duval County Public Schools said there were no students on the bus. One northbound lane on I-295 and the entrance ramp from US-17 was temporarily blocked as troopers investigated. No one was hurt according to FHP.

A school bus can be seen at a crash site on a Department of Transportation traffic camera. It shows a crash on I-295 North at Roosevelt Boulevard.

Action News Jax is working to learn if there are any injuries and if the bus in involved in the crash. There is partial lane blockage at this time.
