  • The two largest teachers’ unions in the country call for schools to revise or end active shooter drills.
  • The American Federation of Teachers and National Education Association joined the advocacy group Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund to end these drills.
  • Per Florida statute, all public schools must have active shooter drills once a month.
