JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: The Regency Square Mall state-run testing site will be closed all day Thursday because of weather.
Original Story:
The City of Jacksonville said all city-run testing sites plan to remain open for Thursday, November 12, 2020.
“At this time, we are closely monitoring the weather conditions for Duval County. As you know, the forecast can change, however we anticipate all City funded COVID-19 testing sites will be open tomorrow. Public safety is always our number one priority therefore if weather conditions warrant closure of our city funded testing sites, we will make those decisions in a safe and timely manner. As always, the public can get specific information on test site locations by going to .”
We also reached out to Jacksonville Transportation Authority about rides to testing sites.
“As we do with all major storms that could potentially impact our area, we are monitoring this situation closely. We coordinate with the city of Jacksonville Emergency Operations Center in the event our area is impacted significantly. We do not foresee any issues or changes at the moment. If that changes we will work with the EOC to share that information with the public. We regularly issue detours as needed for hazardous situations like flooding.”
