Fall arrives, and brief taste of cooler air returns

Jacksonville, Fl — We have one more really warm, humid and damp day ahead but some welcome changes are in the air. Action News Jax Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh says some relief from the heat is also on the way.

Today will feature midday and afternoon showers will develop as the seabreeze advances inland with high temps into the mid to upper 80s.

A cold front arrives by tonight, which brings another chance for rain and thunderstorms. But drier air returns with temperatures below average, only in the low 80s on Thursday.

Lower humidity returns on Friday with sunny, dry conditions and temperatures in the low 80s. It only gradually warms up throughout the weekend.
