Family: Missing Nassau County mom's body found during search

Investigators are working to determine if a body found in the woods Friday night near the Florida-Georgia line is that of missing Nassau County mom Jennifer Perry.

Perry was reported missing on Wednesday.

After days of organized searches for her, volunteers found a woman’s body in a wooded area off Barker Boulevard in Charlton County, Georgia.

Nassau County deputies said it appears the body had been in the brush down a dirt trail for days.

They said it was too decomposed to immediately make a positive ID, but Perry’s family believes it is Jennifer.

A spokesperson with GBI, which is assisting in the investigation, said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Deputies said a man found driving Perry’s car Thursday was questioned by Georgia investigators.

Delbert Goodman is being held on drug charges but is not facing any new charges in Perry’s disappearance as of Saturday, the Baker County Sheriff's Office said.

Perry’s brother posted on Facebook thanking everyone who helped search for his sister.

“I knew I would find you but I didn’t know it would be like this,” he wrote.
