6:17 A.M. UPDATE: One northbound lane is open on US- 1 near Palencia Village Dr.
One person has died following a crash in St. Johns County Thursday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP was dispatched to the fatal collision that happened in the area of U.S. 1 and Palencia Village Drive. at 3:50 a.m.
Troopers said a red Toyota Tacoma hit a pedestrian crossing the road while traveling northbound on US The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
