FDLE cancels missing child alert issued for children from Ohio

UPDATE: FDLE has canceled their alert for two missing children Ohio children.

Original Story:

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued a Missing Child Alert for Wyatt Midkiff, 13, and Carter Midkiff, 10, who were last seen in the area of the 300 block of Columbus Road in Athens, Ohio.

Wyatt was last seen wearing a black, puffy winter coat, dark long sleeve shirt, gray nylon running pants and bright blue high-top sneakers.

Carter was last seen waring a black, puffy winter coat, dark long sleeve shirt, graY nylon runNing pants and black low-top sneakers.

According to FDLE, the children may be in the company of Dustin Midkiff and Amanda Seeley.

Dustin Midkiff has tattoos on his left arm, left forearm and right upper arm as well as scars on his back and face.

FDLE says they may be traveling in a late model white Ford Expedition.

FDLE warns not to approach and to contact law enforcement immediately at 911.

Action News Jax has contacted FDLE about why the alert was issued for Florida and the Public information officer told us that law enforcement in Ohio has reason to believe the children may be found in Florida.

FDLE has updated the alert to include that the may be traveling to Valrico, Florida.
