At around 3:45 p.m. a pickup truck traveling south on State Road 207 on Monday, Jan. 30 was making a left turn onto Morrison Road.

A motorcycle, driven by that 75-year-old man, was traveling in the opposite direction. The pickup decided to make the left turn, right in front of the motorcycle, causing the bike to strike the right quarter panel.

The pickup rotated counter clockwise from the force and came to a final rest on Morrison Road. The motorcycle overturned, leaving the rider on the road of SR 207.

The driver of the bike was transported to HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital with critical injuries.

FHP says the accident is still under investigation.
