Fire breaks out in local business

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Florida RV’s Sales and Service building on Rampart Road was ablaze Sunday morning.

Officials say smoke and flames could be seen from Interstate 295.

A person passing the building on I-295 saw the smoke and called the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department.
 
According to the JFRD, the fire started around 8:20 a.m.
 
Firefighters say it took 30 minutes to put out the flames and another hour to make sure there were no hotspots in the building.
 
Firefighters say the main damage is inside the building and that everything inside is ruined.
 
The fire marshal says the damage to the building, and the RVs and other property inside is more than $100,000.
 
No one was injured in the fire.
