First Alert Weather: Afternoon storms to develop on Tuesday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — WATCH LIVE: Meteorologist Stacey Garvilla has your First Alert forecast all morning long on FOX30.

The First Alert Weather team is still tracking a few remaining showers Tuesday morning but they are fading. Once these dissipate, the area will likely stay pretty dry until any afternoon storms develop.

Temperatures will climb to near 90 degrees by the early afternoon before widely scattered showers and storms begin to develop on the sea breeze generally along I-95.

The showers and storms will generally push inland through the afternoon as flow is back from the southeast today.

Locally heavy rainfall and frequent lightning are the main threats.

Widely scattered showers and storms will continue in the afternoon on Wednesday.
