Gov. Rick Scott got to take a look at the devastation left behind from Hurricane Irma in St. Johns County on Thursday.
Homes had collapsed into the sand, while others had the back walls torn off, exposing the inside.

“We’re in hurricane season; we don’t want a lot of debris around the state,” Scott said.
One woman decided to go to a different beach to stay away from debris.

“The beach down by the gas station, there’s machinery and piles and piles of wood all over, so it wasn’t a good place to stop today, so we came here,” Mary Weber said.
Scott said his goal is to bring 120 million tourists to Florida this year.
