'Dad mode’ kicks in for two Georgia officers to help toddler

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — Two Georgia officers recently stepped up to a help a toddler at their police department.

The Glynn County Police Department did not go into specifics as to why the boy was there, only saying it was under “not so good circumstances.”

While the child was in their care, two officers, Sgt. Strohl and Lt. Stalvey, switched over to dad mode to assist the toddler with a soiled diaper -- with no hesitation.

Stohl volunteered to go to his home to get the child essentials like a bottle, milk, snacks and a sippy cup.

"He then made it back with everything and this little guy had a sippy cup in one hand, a bottle in the other, running around, " the police department said.

After eating and having something to drink, Stalvey was able to put the boy to sleep in his arms.

“This is the true meaning of those who serve. We don’t get into this for the money or great work hours. It is moments like this which is why we serve,” the police department said.
