Gov. Scott leads November election in new poll

While many expect the Florida governor's race to be a dead heat, a new poll shows Governor Rick Scott currently has the upper hand.

Gov. Scott has outspent former Gov. Charlie Crist so far in the governor's race and it could be paying off.

According to the governor's race poll, Gov. Scott currently has a six point lead.

The poll shows 47 percent of people approve of Scott's job as governor, while 46 percent disapprove. This is a much higher approval rating for Gov. Scott than previous polls.

The poll also shows that 46 percent of people approved Crist's job as governor but 41 percent disapproved.

The curveball for the governor's race could be medical marijuana. Crist had said he supports medical marijuana and Gov. Scott opposes it, but it appears voters will pass the issue.
