One lane is still closed for responders on I-95 northbound.

    Original Story:

Firefighters are watching a wildfire closely as it makes its way closer to drivers.

A traffic camera shows the smoke over the trees on I-95 North of Pecan Park. The wildfire has caused the Florida Highway Patrol to close down one northbound lane near Pecan Park on I-95.

The fire is 150 acres and gusty winds have caused it to spread to I-95 near the Duval and Nassau county line.

Florida Forest Service said two fires started on the railroad tracks near US 17, late Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters were able to quickly put out one of the fires, but the other continued to spread.

A helicopter was brought in to dump water onto the Yellowbluff fire. The forestry service said it will be used again Thursday.

Firefighters will be out there all night as well as FHP watching the fire and road visibility closely. FSS said depending on the visibility, there could be more closures. If there are, expect delays between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.
