In an effort to get more kids into a forever home, a series of adoption incentives are on the way.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp will sign several bills into law Monday as a part of the adoption and foster care reform program.
It will help better protect kids and there’s some incentives for those who adopt, too.
Right now, 113 kids are in need of a permanent home.
In March, Kemp signed a bill into law that triples the tax credit for those who adopt children from the foster care system.
There are also six bills that are expected to be signed into law Monday ranging from education grants for foster children, more resources so kids feel comfortable if they have to report abuse in the household, and other initiatives to better protect kids in foster care.
The vote gets underway at 1 p.m.
