Hop on the River Taxi for the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl and New Year’s fireworks cruise

If you’re planning on attending the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl at TIAA Bank Friday, then why not take the scenic route?

Before Notre Dame and South Carolina kick off on Dec. 30 at 3:30 p.m. those attending might want to hop on the River Taxi.

Service begins at 11 a.m. and will depart from the Doubletree and the Southbank dock. People looking to hop on for a ride should book online at Jaxrivertaxi.com. Round trip and all-day wristbands will cost $20 per person.

On Dec. 31, the River taxi will also be offering a New Year’s fireworks cruise.

The River taxi will load up at the Friendship Fountain Park Dock at 10:15 p.m. and will depart at 10:30 p.m.

The plan is to cruise around and see the downtown lights followed by the city’s firework show. Wine, beer, and champagne and non-alcoholic drinks will be served on board.

The cost to cruise for the New Year will be $35 per person.

The River Taxis offers normal cruises and taxi service every Wednesday through Sunday. Some of the services offered include a downtown sightseeing tour and North to Southbank taxi transport. The taxi service also offers beer and wine for sale during normal operating days and times.
