The weekend is looking hot and humid with temperatures into the low 90s. Only a few showers and storms are possible. Where it rains, expect heavy downpours, but not a significant amount overall.
The tropical system that could become Alex will only deliver fringe effects with a few few showers/storms and an increase in rip currents by Saturday/Sunday. No significant local impacts.
Hurricane Hunter aircraft are investigating the system throughout the day. This disturbance will bring Southern or Central Florida Saturday heavy rain, gusty winds and rip currents. Much of the rain may stay south and offshore from our local viewing area. No significant local impacts with the current forecast. Elevated rip current risks for the weekend, locally.
The new work week is looking hot and mainly dry overall.
