Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says temperatures will be into the 90s through at least Friday afternoon. It appears the hottest afternoon will be Thursday, with the forecast high of 94, nearly 10 degrees above average.
Coverage of storms through Friday will be around 20% of the listening area - storms may be intense where they develop.
Mike is tracking a pattern change for the weekend with numerous showers and storms and nearly 100% coverage. Both days will be in the upper 80s with more cloud cover and rainfall.
