JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Head coach Doug Marrone announced that Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew II suffered a knee injury during the team's game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 29.

Minshew was limited in practice Wednesday, according to the latest injury report.

"I think you always have to be careful, and I think that's probably the best way. I think we just have to do a good job and be careful," Marrone said.

Marrone added that anytime someone shows up on the injury report, the team has to be mindful of it. He added that he thinks the team and Minshew will have to be careful leading up to Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers at 1 p.m.

"Anytime someone shows up on the injury report, I think you just have to be mindful of it. I don't think he can just come out here and go, ‘Everything's fine, everything's great,'" Marrone said.

Minshew is expected to play in Sunday's game despite the injury report.
