On Sunday, Church members stood together with the Prue family and said their goodbyes.

“It’s been a blessing,” Alexis Prue said.

“It means the world to be to have been a part of their journey,” church member Sheila Emanuel said.

Fifteen weeks ago, Andrew Prue and his wife Alexis came to Jacksonville for what they thought was just a night of football.

“I was in a state of shock when it all went down, I didn’t know what was going on,” Andrew Prue said.

Now Alexis is speaking and headed back home to Myrtle Beach with Andrew and their 18-month-old daughter.

The Second Missionary Baptist Church has shown growing support throughout Alexis’ entire journey, and the couple tells Action News Jax’s Alexus Cleavenger they will be back to visit.

“The Titans may have lost that game on January 7th but were going home with a bigger victory and that the victory of life and a family,” Andrew Prue said.
