Jacksonville Beach police searching for armed man peeping in window

A Jacksonville Beach woman is terrified to be in her home after a man was caught watching her through her kitchen window.

When the man was confronted, he said he was armed.

Jacksonville Beach police are now looking for a man who was last seen without a shirt on and has several tattoos.

Home surveillance video caught the moment when Mike Jolley said he confronted a man he caught peeping into his son’s house.

“I freaked out and was like what the hell are you doing,” Jolley said.

But when he went up to him, he said he was armed.

“He came at me and I was going to grab him and he said I’m packing. I’m strapped. He said I’m strapped,” Jolley said.

That’s when Jolley said the man took off and he called police.

He said, he thinks the man was spying on his son’s girlfriend.

“I had no idea someone was watching me. Not at all,” victim, Claire Donnolly said.

Donnelly said she was inside cleaning when all this was going on and missed several alerts on her phone from her surveillance cameras.

So that’s when her boyfriend called his dad.

“I heard a little bit of ruckus outside, but I thought it was maybe the neighbors,” Donnolly said.

She said she doesn’t know why he picked her house.

“He’s not someone I know for sure which is scary,” Donnolly said.

Donnelly said they are adding even more cameras to their home and she put up blinds.

Neighbors said they want to start a neighborhood watch group.
