Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department employee arrested on child abuse charges

A Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department employee was arrested Friday.

Chadwick Parker, 46, faces charges of child abuse after an incident on March 18, according to an arrest report.

Parker has a bond amount of $5,003.

JFRD gave Action News Jax this statement:

"The individual in question has the rank of Engineer and has been employed by the JFRD since 8/17/2003. Engineer Parker has been removed from field duty and placed on a 40 hour administrative reassignment while applicable internal investigative measures are performed."
