Saturday morning just after 3 a.m. the thief broke a window to get inside. It happened at The Hair Bank on Lem Turner Road.

“I was devastated. I was disappointed. The individual definitely came in for our merchandise,” Hogan said.

In the video it shows the thief grabbing bags, then he jumps over the counter. A different angle shows him grabbing even more bags, getting away with tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise.

“There was hair, there were wigs,” Hogan said.

Hogan said this is the second time there has been an incident at her business within the past few weeks. Action News Jax told you last month when someone broke some glass windows and vandalized the building. This time it was much worse.

“We are a neighborhood full of small businesses and we don’t want this to happen to other people either,” Hogan said.

An area crime map shows there have been several assaults within the past month but no other burglaries were listed. Hogan said she wants the video to be publicized so that maybe someone will recognize the man and turn him in.

“Just help us put an end to the crime that is going on especially in small businesses. We’re trying to help our community, so we don’t want to be tore down,” Hogan said.

The owners said this is the worst time this could have happened because its right before the holidays, and the thief has wiped them out of their inventory.
