Jacksonville leaders working to invest in city's future

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Investing in our future for the year 2030. It may seem like a long time from now- but local leaders are working right now to find ways to make our state and area grow.

Many met Wednesday on one of the top floors of the Wells Fargo Building in Jacksonville to discuss the topic of being competitive. Experts tell Action News Jax a driving force of that competitiveness is good quality of life.

“I think they are good, I have a lot of friends from the northeast that are moving down because of the quality of life,” local dad Josh Raines said.

Florida Chamber Foundation Executive Vice President Tony Carvajal tells Action News Jax a high quality of life built on health, security, economic prosperity and Florida’s brand and culture.
