Jacksonville nonprofit to host wellness event for women and women veterans

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Local nonprofit Healing Women Healing Nations of Northeast Florida is hosting an event to offer support to local women and women veterans.

On April 2, the organization will have a day-long event called Art of Reconnection Wellness Gathering.

Navy Veteran Michelle Poitier is the founder of the organization and will serve as hostess for the event.

Poitier said, “This gathering will provide tools, tips, and instantly implementable resources to inspire and empower women and women veterans to continue this journey called life, celebrating their uniqueness, enabling us all to better love ourselves, our families, friends, and community.”

The event will take place at the Cohen Military Clinic off A.C. Skinner Parkway in Jacksonville. Women veterans get in for free.

Poitier says there will also be a Zumba Wellness event on March 5 in support of the big event in April.
