JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says it has made an arrest in a double shooting on Feb. 17 in which a man was killed and a woman suffered life-threatening injuries.
Charles Crosby, 37, has been arrested for murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, JSO said.
Crosby and the man who was killed, 42-year-old Garvin Owensby, knew each other, police said.
On the day of the shooting, neighbors told Action News Jax that they woke up to find a woman knocking on their door off West First Street in West Jacksonville.
When officers got to the scene at 8:40 a.m., they found a man dead inside a home and a woman with life-threatening injuries.
The victims on West First Street were among at least eight people shot in Jacksonville in 24 hours that weekend.
