Jacksonville police investigating kidnapping, sexual battery of juvenile

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for a man suspected in the kidnapping and sexual battery of a juvenile girl.

Police said the incident happened around 4 p.m. Monday. The girl was walking near the 2100 block of West 45th Street when the suspect approached in a four-door, dark blue, sedan-style vehicle.

As the suspect neared the victim, he threw a cell phone out of the car window. When he got out of the car, the suspect forced the victim inside the car and drove her to an unknown location in the downtown area, possibly near Florida State College at Jacksonville and later released her.

Police said the suspect was described as an adult, light-skinned male with a bald head. He was said to be wearing "rectangular" glasses and had a dirty face.
