Jacksonville's biggest LGBTQIA+ celebration, River City Pride, turns 40 this weekend.
There will be events throughout Jacksonville all weekend long. The Bank of America Pride Parade will be Saturday, October 6 starting at 4 p.m. Sunday, festivities will continue at the Pride Festival in Riverside Artist Square.
The mission of River City Pride is community and inclusion. The celebrations encourage citizens to live openly and in fellowship with allies. Discrimination has no place at this vibrant celebration.
The event also raises money for LGBTQIA+ oriented non-profit organizations in the local area.
