A person has been shot near Beachwood Boulevard and Sail Avenue, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Officials said a man was taken to the hospital after being shot multiple times in the the legs and groin area. He has non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim told police that he was in a verbal argument with an unknown person before the shooting, JSO says. After the shooting, the suspect ran away and left the area.
An investigation is ongoing.
