JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting in a Southside neighborhood that seriously injured a woman.
At approximately 6:38 a.m. officers responded to a shooting Tuesday at Kings Crossing Apartments in the 7200 block of Old Kings Road South.

According to JSO, the woman shot in the side was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the suspect initially fled the area but returned to the scene and is in police custody.
JSO officers were seen towing a white Dodge Charger at the scene.

Neighbors tell Action News Jax a man pulled up in the vehicle saying he shot his wife.
Police are calling this a domestic dispute but did not give any more details on the relationship.
